QA Inspector

This position is responsible for performing final quality inspection on all rail cars

​

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure quality requirements are met prior to a cars release

• Learn, comprehend, apply and communicate all AAR, FRA, Customer and Bucyrus Railcar requirements

• Daily assistance with housekeeping

• The ability to independently organize time and priorities.

• Review completeness of documents including work orders and supplements

Physical Requirements

• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely

• The ability to work in adverse weather conditions. All work is performed outdoors

• The ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials

• The ability to work at heights exceeding 4 ft. off the ground with proper PPE

• The ability to maintain mental and visual attention to details for sustained periods of time

 

Work Site Environment

• Primary work environment subject to extreme heat or cold for considerable amounts of time. Must dress accordingly

• Hearing protection shall be required in certain designated areas and during the performance of specific designated jobs due to noise levels greater than 80 decibels

• Floors, ladders and walking surfaces may be uneven
